A beautiful signed and numbered limited edition print by wildlife artist Don Balke featuring three goldfinches among white wildflowers with a rustic cabin and mountain landscape in the background.

Titled Goldfinches, this 1982 print combines detailed bird imagery with a peaceful country setting. It is signed and numbered in pencil beneath the image and presented with layered matting in a warm wood-tone frame.

The reverse retains the original Don Balke Wildlife Studio information sheet as well as a custom framing label from Blue Ribbon Custom Frame Shop in Hendersonville, North Carolina.

A lovely piece for bird lovers, wildlife art collectors, cottage-inspired interiors, traditional homes or nature-focused gallery walls.

Condition

The artwork presents very nicely when displayed, with strong color and no obvious major damage visible to the image area.

The frame has light scratches and surface wear consistent with age and previous display. The reverse paper backing has considerable tearing, discoloration and staining, particularly around the edges. The original artist information sheet and framing label remain attached to the back.

Manor Note

Three goldfinches have taken up residence just beyond the Gallery windows, where the wildflowers grow a little taller and an old cottage can still be seen beyond the trees. Mr. Wren insists they are merely birds. The Manor, as usual, has declined to confirm his theory.
