The Forgotten Manor — Return & Refund Policy

At The Forgotten Manor, many of our items are vintage, antique, collectible, pre-owned, one-of-a-kind, or specially curated. Because of the unique nature of our inventory, returns and refunds are handled carefully and fairly on a case-by-case basis.

 

General Return Policy

Returns are not automatically guaranteed.

If you have a concern with your order, please contact The Forgotten Manor as soon as possible after delivery. We will review the circumstances and determine whether a return, refund, exchange, store credit, or another resolution is appropriate.

To help us review your request, please provide:

• Your order number

• A description of the issue

• Clear photographs of the item, when relevant

• Photographs of the packaging if the item arrived damaged

Do not return an item without prior approval.

Unauthorized returns may be refused and may not qualify for a refund.

 

Mystery Boxes & Crown Boxes

All Mystery Box and Crown Box sales are final.

These products are intentionally curated as surprise assortments, and the exact contents are not fully disclosed before purchase.

By purchasing a Mystery Box or Crown Box, you acknowledge and accept the surprise nature of the product.

Returns, refunds, and exchanges will not be provided because of personal preference, duplicate items, style preferences, color preferences, or disappointment with the specific surprise contents received.

If a Mystery Box or Crown Box arrives damaged, materially incomplete, or significantly different from what was promised in the listing, please contact us so the issue can be reviewed.

 

Final Sale Items

The following items are considered final sale:

• Mystery Boxes

• Crown Boxes

• Items specifically marked Final Sale

• Items altered, used, repaired, modified, or damaged after delivery

Final-sale status does not affect any rights that cannot legally be waived.

 

Vintage, Antique & Pre-Owned Items

Vintage, antique, collectible, and pre-owned merchandise may show signs of age, use, patina, wear, manufacturing variation, minor imperfections, repairs, or other characteristics associated with older merchandise.

These characteristics are not automatically considered defects.

We make reasonable efforts to photograph and describe visible condition issues before sale.

Please review all listing photographs, measurements, condition notes, and descriptions before purchasing.

A return may not be approved for a condition issue that was clearly disclosed in the product listing.

 

Return Eligibility

If a return is approved, the item generally must be:

• Returned in the same condition in which it was received

• Returned with all original pieces, accessories, packaging, documentation, or tags when applicable

• Properly packed to prevent damage during return shipping

• Shipped according to the return instructions provided by The Forgotten Manor

We reserve the right to reduce or deny a refund if the returned item is damaged, incomplete, altered, or materially different from the condition in which it was originally shipped.

 

Return Shipping

Unless otherwise agreed, customers are responsible for return shipping costs for approved discretionary returns.

If the return is approved because The Forgotten Manor shipped the wrong item or made another verified fulfillment error, return shipping may be covered by The Forgotten Manor.

Original shipping charges are generally non-refundable unless the return results from our error or applicable law requires otherwise.

 

Damaged Items

If your order arrives damaged, contact us promptly.

Please keep:

• The damaged item

• The shipping box

• All packing materials

• Shipping labels

• Any damaged packaging

Photographs may be required to document the damage and assist with a shipping-carrier claim.

Do not discard damaged items or packaging until the issue has been reviewed.

Depending on the circumstances, the resolution may include a refund, partial refund, replacement if available, or another appropriate solution.

 

Incorrect Items

If you receive an item that is materially different from the item you ordered, please contact us promptly.

If the error is confirmed, The Forgotten Manor will work with you to correct the issue.

Because many of our products are one-of-a-kind, an identical replacement may not always be available.

 

Refunds

Approved refunds will generally be issued to the original payment method.

Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider or financial institution.

Shipping charges, return shipping expenses, or other fees may be deducted from a refund when appropriate and permitted by law.

 

Partial Refunds

In some cases, a partial refund may be offered when that is the most reasonable resolution.

Examples may include situations involving minor undisclosed damage, missing non-essential components, or other issues that do not require a full return.

Acceptance of a partial refund may resolve the related claim.

 

Exchanges

Because much of The Forgotten Manor inventory is unique, exact exchanges may not be possible.

If an exchange is approved and a comparable item is available, we will provide instructions.

Otherwise, another resolution may be offered.

 

Order Cancellations

Cancellation requests should be submitted as soon as possible.

Orders that have already been packed, processed, or shipped may no longer be eligible for cancellation.

Cancellation is not guaranteed.

 

Refused or Undeliverable Packages

If a package is returned to The Forgotten Manor because it was refused, unclaimed, or sent to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer, additional shipping charges may apply.

Refunds for these orders may be reduced by shipping or handling costs already incurred.
